Superfly Radio from Vienna

Logo of Superfly FM

I came across this Austrian channel again while browsing through my »Radio« tagges bookmarks and i have to recommend it to everyone who’s into soul-, funk, disco and deep house. Beside a pretty decent daytime program hosted by the Superlfy team itself there are several shows hosted by the local music scene, among others the radio show by the illustrious »Deep House Mafia«. If you’re from Vienna you’ll also enjoy the latest city updates. A nightly show called »98.3 Nightfly« brings you the latest dj mixes by the likes of Carl Craig, Larry Heard, Giles Peterson, Jazzanova and more. Now if that’s not a reason to tune in…

If you’re into Air…

Air - Moon Safari… you might already be well aware of the fact that there will be an extended re-edition of their album “Moon Safari” very soon. For those who don’t know, the 2 million seller will soon be available as a CD/DVD package including several bonus tracks and videos. While disc one covers the entire original album, disc two is filled with some of their remixes, rarities and demo sessions recorded during the late nineties and disc three providing a 60 minute documentary and video clips of the album’s most popular tracks. Release date is determined as the 15th April. I think this might be worth a blog entry, as I’m going to purchase this.

Melting away with Sven Weisemann

I don’t know if you have been to this guy’s Myspace profile yet, but if you’re in a kind of laidback mood right now, you should give it a try. Just listen to the tracks on his player and melt away in the beauty of his melancholy, moody, epic, gorgeous piano productions… Why does this stuff not come out as 12″? I’d buy it.
